What is Cumulative position size?
Cumulative Position Size or cumulative exposure size, refers to the total notional value (contract value) of all your open positions combined, regardless of whether they are in BTC, ETH, altcoins, or stablecoins.
Our cumulative exposure limits are tailored to the challenge type to promote sound risk management:
For Instant Funding accounts: You can have a maximum cumulative open position value of 2× your account balance.
For One-Step, Two-Step and Nitro challenges: You can have a maximum cumulative open position value of 3× your account balance.
Example (One-Step/Two-Step/Nitro):
Account balance: $10,000
You may open:
1 BTCUSD long for $15,000
1 ETHUSD long for $10,000
1 SOLUSD short for $5,000
✅ Total: $30,000 (3× balance) = Allowed
Example (Instant Funding):
Account balance: $10,000
You may open:
1 BTCUSD long for $10,000
1 ETHUSD long for $10,000
✅ Total: $20,000 (2× balance) = Allowed
But if your positions total more than the allowed limit for your challenge type, it violates our exposure rules and may trigger a breach or warning.
Why is this so important in crypto specifically?
Because crypto trading is not like forex or traditional commodities: Without cumulative exposure controls, a trader can unintentionally take on massive, compounding risk just by opening multiple trades — even if each trade looks "safe" on its own.
Does this limit stop me from diversifying?
No — it encourages meaningful diversification, not just surface-level. Opening BTC long, ETH long, and SOL long is not true diversification. These coins often move together, so if you stack them all at high exposure, you're not hedging — you're doubling down.
Why does Mubite care so much about this?
Because we're not here to churn accounts or hope traders get lucky.
We're here to:
Fund serious crypto traders
Provide real capital
Create a platform for long-term success, not just 1-hit winners
This rule protects both you and Mubite. We are proud to offer a system where you know the rules, you see them clearly, and you are never penalized by surprise.
What happens if I exceed the cumulative limit?
Soft Breach & Warning Policy
If you exceed the allowed limit, Mubite provides a one-time grace window before breaching the account:
5-Minute Grace Period: You will receive an immediate warning email. You have 5 minutes to adjust or close open positions so that your total exposure falls back within the limit. If corrected within this window, you may continue trading normally.
One-Time Only: This soft breach exception is granted only once per challenge.
Account Breach: If positions are not adjusted within the 5 minutes, or if you exceed the limit a second time, the account is permanently breached.
Why does this make Mubite different?
Most firms focus on marketing, "unlimited freedom," and payout flashiness — but hide their real rules until you fail. At Mubite:
Our risk rules are disclosed clearly
We enforce them consistently
And we build systems around protecting both trader and firm
This isn't a restriction — it's a framework for sustainable success in the most volatile market on Earth.
Final Words:
You don't need 10x exposure to win in crypto. You need disciplined exposure with 10x discipline.
At Mubite, we give you the space to prove that — safely, transparently, and fairly. This violation will result in warning email, if the position/s is/are not closed in a manner that doesn't exceed the threshold within 5 minutes the account will be marked as breached. If trader adjusts their positions within those 5 minutes he can continue trading the challenge. This soft breach is granted only once per challenge, meaning violation of the maximum or cummulative position again (more than once) will result in challenge failure.
